Please contribute to Japan earthquake-tsunami relief efforts
|
As the scope and magnitude of the 2011 Japan earthquake and tsunami devastation unfold, we give our condolences to the untold numbers of people affected by this unprecedented tragedy. Our hearts are with them.
Two of the award-winning Japanese ceramic artists showing in Touching Stone Gallery (Yukiya Izumita and Tadashi Ito) live in the devastated Iwate prefecture. We learned that they are safe, but there are widespread destruction and suffering.
We dedicated Yukiya Izumita's exhibition in April, 2011 to help the relief efforts. In addition to paying the artist's proceeds and expenses, Touching Stone Gallery donated half the gallery proceeds from the show to the Association for Aid and Relief Japan, and the Japan Red Cross Society. We thank all our clients for their strong support and generous donations.
If you would like to make a cash contribution, please donate directly to the following Japan-based organizations involved in the relief efforts:
Association for Aid and Relief Japan (English)
Association for Aid and Relief Japan (Japanese)
Japan Red Cross Society
